I wish to learn Farsi as I am married to a native Persian and we have a child together - I would like to be able to speak to my family in Persian. I currently have about 50 Persian words, I am keen to be able to converse freely in the language, writing it is not a priority but if that makes learning the language easier, then I am happy to learn that also. I am able to attend one class every one to two weeks and I am able to practice at home with Persian-speak ing people. 1-3 hours per week is the most likely amount of time I can dedicate to practice outside class. I am seeking a teacher who is patient and has the ability to teach farsi as it would be spoken commonly.

I would like to learn the basics to assist with my current workplace communication and cross cultural awareness. I would be classified as a beginner and would like to learn polite conversation to begin with.
My time available to study varies as I am often away with work. I would like to learn in an environment where I can learn face to face - on my own or with other students and have some assignments that I can work on while I am travelling. I am also interested in learning other languages such as Hazaragi,and Pashto.
My native language is English and I have never mastered a second lanquage.
I would like a teacher who is flexible with my limited availability, and one who can set me on a pathway to learning another language - even if it takes me the rest of my life. I am better with face to face learning as I am not disciplined enough to study online.
