I am interested in learning Hindi because my Boss and his family speak it. I would like to be able to converse with them and their associates in their native language. I feel that I would benefit both in my career and also in my personal life by learning Hindi. I am a Beginner who is taking the very first baby steps in learning this language. I am able to dedicate an hour per day or seven to ten hours per week. I am seeking a teacher who is patient and has the time to interact on an individual level online when needed. Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently moved back to the San Diego area with my family several months ago. I'm looking for a Hindi tutor for myself and my family.
My family and I are looking for someone who could provide private tutoring at our home in spoken and written Hindi. My wife and I understand basic Hindi, but neither of us speak it well (my native language is Kannada, and my wife’s is Gujarati). I am quite familiar with Devanagri script, so reading is not an issue. We would like to give our daughters (5 years and 2 years) an immersion in the language in a proper, structured manner. We have a wide range of grammar books, dictionaries, software, etc., but we lack the help of a native speaker.
We are happy to pay well for proper, structured lessons and are willing to commit to weekly homework assignments. An ideal situation would be 2 hours a week. The first hour would be for me since I am more familiar with written Hindi and elementary grammar. The second hour would be to work with my wife and daughters to build basic spoken and then written proficiency.
In terms of a teacher, we are looking for someone who is passionate about the subject, is professional and is results driven. We are keen on a native Hindi speaker or someone who has spent a lot of time in North India. Getting proper accent and inflection is critical for us. We are a disciplined family and are committed to serious study.
