I'm a beginner. My girlfriend is Chinese. She is originally from Chengdu. I will be traveling in 2010 to China to meet her parents & siblings. I would like to learn as much as possible before the trip in the hope of having basic conversations with her parents (they only speak Chinese and use the Chengdu dialect), as well as useful phrases for around town with vendors & strangers. I'm interested in taking classes in the evening during the week (preferably Monday-Thursd ay). A teacher that understands the Chengdu dialect would be a plus.
I would also like to learn some basic French for future for trips to France.

I'm a beginner level. I'm learning because of Career advacement. I really need help in all areas, I only know my numbers but I only know up to 9. I also know some of the greetings. I'm willing to study up to 2 to 3 and a half hours on 4 days out of the week ( Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Monday). I'm looking for a teacher that is willing to help me with the studies in all areas. Also I would like it if they make most of my classes kind of funny and very enjoyable. I am continuing to learn Russian after living in Kazakhstan for a year. I am mostly interested in improving my conversationa l skills due to my interest in the language. I am an intermediate, conversationa l speaker but need a lot of help with grammar because I have only learned by listening and speaking with native speakers.
