I am immensely enjoying studying Mandarin Chinese at university and I aim to eventually reach an advanced level of proficiency and understanding of the language and culture. I am currently a beginner as I have only studied Chinese for 5 months. I need particular improvement in daily conversation and grammar.
My aim is to dedicate 2 to 3 hours to my language lessons each week.
The qualities that are most important for me in a teacher are patience and the ability to explain concepts clearly.

Hi! My name is Peter Barsamian and I am 24 years old. I am an American citizen currently living and working in Yerevan Armenia. My experience with Mandarin is I have a Minor in Chinese Language from American University and have Studied abroad in both Beijing and Taipei. As I am in quarantine, I thought it would be a good time to continue my studies of Chinese language!
I feel like I am at the intermediate level currently. I would like to become better with my speaking and reading ability. I am less concerned with writing characters, but I do have some prior experience with them.
If the teacher is available, I would be willing to have class a few times a week, at least for the next few months.
I have had many chinese language teachers over the years, and what I am looking for is someone who is kind, patient, has a sense of humor, but also a bit strict so I can learn better!
