My proficiency level is beginner, and a friend of mine who wants to learn with me is intermediate. I want to learn Japanese because I am going to apply to the Jet Program for 2007. My partner is planning on spending a lot of time in Japan while I am there and has been teaching herself Japanese on and off for 5 years.
