I would like to learn japanese. I am a complete beginner and am interested ni japanese because my brother has recentkly married a japanese girl. He now resides in Japan and I would love to be able to talk to my new relations in their native toungue.
I am thinking maybe an hour a week, if the classes are one on one. Maybe more if it is a large class.
I would like a relaxed teacher with patience as I am a total beginner with no knowledge of the japanese language.

I have previously completed a year of Japanese at the high school level. In addition I know how read and right in Hiragana & katakana. I am currently working on basic Kanji. I am learning Japanese for the reason that I am interested in the language and the culture, and hopefully be able to teach what I learn to others. I want to teach either English in Japan or Japanese in the United States. Some areas in which I may need improvement would be in grammar, conversation, and pronunciation . I hope to dedicate as much time as is needed to learning Japanese and becoming fluent. Some traits I am looking from in a teacher would be that they make the lessons easy to comprehend and enjoyable. I would like a teacher who has a positive attitude and has a deep understanding of the language and the culture from where it originated.
