Hello,
I have been studying Swahili by myself for three weeks. I am planning to travel to East Africa at some point in the future. I am very interested in becomming fluent in the language, but I need help and can not do this by myself. I am seeking a native Swahili speaker to work with me one on one, on a weekly basis, in Chicago. I need a plan and structure for my learning, as there are so many rules and I seem to be scattered in my approach to grasping them. I do understand the different genders/class es, but need much practice and help.

Beginner -- I know the alphabet and about 50 words.
I want to learn the basics so I can speak Russian with my girlfriend and her friends and family. I need to focus on the basics so I can get to a point where just being around Russians speaking leads to greater learning.
I am will to devote up to 3 hours a week to these lessons. I need flexibility in schedule from my teacher. I travel relatively often for work and will need to study more some weeks and less other weeks.
