I was living in Tokyo, Japan for 3 years. I just moved back to the U.S. in January and would like to continue learning. I believe I am intermediate. I have studied hiragan, katakana (but have since forgotten most) and haven't studied kanji (but am interested). I would like to meet for one hour a week in the beginning. I would also like homework!!! I would like most of the lesson to be spoken in Japanese.

- Proficiency: Beginner pretty much. I know the bare anime-basics like honorifics and how to say yes and no.
- I want to learn Japanese to both study abroad, get quality career opportunities and possibly move to Japan at an older age.
- I need improvement in all aspects. I understand how to pronounce letters and pronounce what I read in romanji.
- I have high school. So likely weekends would be best; but I will dedicate to the language sessions.
- As far as lessons, I want to be able to learn the language and also get a taste of possibly hirigana (if that is the most common) character systems and how they associate with the language.
