I am currently studying Japanese for my degree. I only started in September 2005, and have a basic level of Japanese, but I would like to improve this in preperation for year 2. I had health problems which meant that I missed a fair bit of studying and so my knowledge is a bit patchy and I have a quite a bit to catch up on over the summer!
I mainly want a patient tutor for a couple of months (till september) to practise spoken Japanese with me (both polite and plain conversationa l forms) as well as possibly helping me with a small amount of grammar/writi ng. I would like to have a one-on-one session for maybe 1-2 hours once a week just to keep my language skills in check. Hopefully my tutor would have the ability to speak English in case I need any explanations, but I need someone who is patient and willing to help me learn. I am a very keen and motivated student but I would prefer to have the lessons somewhere relatively local to me, in the sussex region if possible.

The main purpose is career enhancement, because I already deal with numerous foreign languages in my work (IT), e.g. German and Dutch.

I have never spoken Japanese before but would like to eventually speak it with out any problems. I want to learn Japanese because I eventually want to move to Japan and become a english teacher, and knowing the language would be helpful. Im 20 and I have studied japanese for the past 8 years at a secondary school level. However because of my job I havn't been able to concentrate on the language for about a year and have forgotten alot of what I had learnt. Im just looking for a tutor once a week or once a fortnight to help me back up to examination standards to further my career.
