I am learning these languages for many reasons: I want to travel the places that speak these languages, I love the way the languages sound when spoken, also, I know there are more career opportunities for people who can speak many languages. I took Spanish for three years with my school, but, started taking Chinese. I do not want to forget the Spanish I have already learned, and, I want to learn more. i have not taken French, but, I would love to speak French and plan on travelling to France. I know very little German; My mother spoke fluent German to me when I was a child. I do not know and Irish Gaelic, but, plan on travelling there, and, possibly living there in the future.

My husband wishes to study in Germany and I will probably go with him and look for a job teaching English. I have started teaching myself (just basic greetings and some common verbs and questions) and have a textbook but need to practise speaking and help with pronunciation . I am motivated to learn and wish to actually practise using the language and getting help with my questions, rather than just learning lots of vocab and focussing on grammar. I'm quite busy and also studying Chinese so only want to spend two hours per time, maybe twice a week, in the evenings (weds to fri) or Monday or Tuesday during the day. I'm quite an analytical learner so I need a teacher who is not afraid of questions and can make the classes interesting with real-life examples of language use. I mostly need 'survival' German and to understand some key differences between German and English and some cultural dos and don'ts. BTW, your address at 1000 Yan'an Zhong lu is not correct!

I just came to live in Frankfurt, for my husband got a job transfer to Germany. We are from Japan, and I do speak English as I had studied abroad in USA. Now, I took 6 months of German kurses at Goethe Institute, and I feel that I luck the time for practice, in terms of speaking in German. I understand 'Communicatio n' comes first in any language I learn, but I would love to improve my German accents and increase more vocabulary.
