My name is Sun Lynn. My skill level is currently at beginner status. My mother is Korean and we have difficulty speaking to and understanding one another. I'd like to one day go back and visit Korea, to intermingle with my family.... buyt currently, I do not possess the skill to do so.
Im looking for a patient instructor who is willing to meet 1-2 times weekly. Id like an individual who is both fluent in English as well as in Korean. Id like someone who doesnt take it too seriously but seriously enough that I may benefit.
AS of lately, I have bought some language aids on CD- Rom. It seems to be helping but I can never tell if Im pronouncing things correctly.

1. studied for two months. know the characters and basic vocabulary. also know everyday language in the most basic terms. (lived there and can get around fine)
2. want to be able to communicate with my cousins better (they don't speak english)
3. all areas
4. once or twice a week
5. a) good use of class time. for example, i don't think doing work during a session that i could do on my own is very useful. b) preparation. lessons should be well-planned c) knowledge of teaching strategies, not just of the language

I am a beginner level. I know some words mostly about food. The reason I want to learn is I'm adopted from Korea but I only know English. I would like to speak Korean with my friends and go back to Korea to visit. I have time after 7pm to learn. I feel more comfortable learning in a class or tutor.

I would really like to learn Korean so that maybe one day I can visit Korea. I am a beginner. I would like to learn grammar and conversation skills.
