I would like to learn portuguese as many people in my family speak the language, I will be visiting Portugal and my boyfriend speaks Portuguese fluently. I am interested in learning (brazilian) portuguese because I have started training in Capoeira. I am a beginner and have never taken a language class. I have recently become engaged to a Brazilian lady and have intentions of moving to Brazil on a more permanent basis in the future. I am familiar with a lot of vocabulary, but sentence structure, grammar and conversation are out of my grasp at this point, so I would classify myself as a beginner. To start, I'd be willing to put in 3 to 5 hours a week in my studies, as I'm working a lot these days. As for teacher qualities, they must be patient and flexible.
