My reason for attempting to learn Thai is twofold. I will soon have a Thai grandchild. I occasionally have work reasons to travel to Thailand and Lao PDR.
I am a beginner. I have learnt the Thai script and have a small vocabulary. I have been attempting to learn Thai on my own. I am at the stage where I think I need to begin conversation.
I have been spending 2-4 days per week for about a half to one hour per day learning. My availability would be evenings; Tuesday preferred. As for teacher qualities, I would judge a teacher by their stated approach, especially regarding building my confidence with conversation.

Hi my name is Justin and i'm looking at learning Thai conversations .I travel to Thailand 4 times a year on holiday and know a few basic words.I'm i want to be able to have a basic conversation in Thai.I can pronouce words ok, but i find it hard when they speak back to me in Thai.I know about 12 or so basic lines in Thai.eg whats your name, would you like a drink.I want to be able to understand basic Thai when it is spoken to me.Kind regards and thankyou for your time.
