Hello my name is Jason Miller and I have absolutely no experiance with Dutch!! I am in love however with a Dutch woman and actually am planning on moving there. I would like to learn the language (at least as much of it as I possibly can) so it will be easier for me to get around and especially to find employment. I need help across the board indeed, vocab, pronounciatio n, the difference between the formal vs. informal, the whole bag of apples!! I would get the most out of a teacher who understands my rather non-existent Dutch starting point and who can help me get to at least a rudimentary understanding in three months or so. I am a beginner/inte rmediate in French, and I've taken French courses at school for a few years already. Personally, I would like to learn/continu e learning French because I want to be able to go to France either as an exchange student or as a tourist. I believe French will take a role in my future plans/career as well, and it is a language I enjoy speaking thoroughly as well.
The areas that I believe I will need more work on is my conversation, listening and sight reading skills. I would prefer my lessons to be around an one hour or one and a half hours a week. I'm pretty flexible with my time, and I'm looking for a very cheerful, outgoing teacher who can furthur improve my French-speaki ng skills as well as my writing, and can teach me French through many different sources rather than from just a French textbook.

I am very excited to learn Brazilian Portuguese. I learned to surf in Bahia in November and want to return to Brazil for travel and also for work, and I am determined to speak to the wonderful people of that country. I know rudimentary traveler's Portuguese. I learned a fair bit of French in my youth, so learning another language is not impossible for me! I am planning to return to Brazil again in October so I would like to discuss a program that would both accomodate my busy schedule, my budget and my willingness to learn!
I am hoping I can find a patient, intuitive teacher who is very organised and has a good structure to her/his classes. I also have a friend who is interested in taking lessons, who is at the same level as I am
