I am a recent college graduate looking to learn Arabic in order to pursue a graduate program in Arabic/Islami c studies. I have taken only the first part of an intensive language class at the University of Minnesota but I am looking for a format that can more easily fit my busy life. I am willing to dedicate 7-12 hours outside of class per week to learning Arabic. I am looking for a teacher who is not only dedicated to teaching me the mechanics of the language, but will supplement the language with cultural information as well.

I am a beginner in the Arabic language. I know some vocabulary and have begun part of the alphabet. I would like to dedicate 3 times a week to lessons. In addition to language, I hope the teacher would provide cultural information to supplement language understanding . I plan to study at American University in Cairo.
