I want to learn to speak Vietnamese. I have no background in Vietnamese and have never studied it before. My husband is Laotian, but he and his mother converse in Vietnamese. My goal is to be able to converse with them, at least on a basic level.
I work full-time, so I could only devote approximately 3-5 hours weekly to lessons.
I am looking for a teacher who is a native speaker or proficient in Vietnamese, and who is available to teach on weeknights or weekends.

beginner level proficiency, i have no prior classes or lessons in vietnamese. It is more of a personal reason to learn. I have a girlfriend who is vietnamese and her parents have expressed for me to learn in order to communicate with the family. I'm very serious about learning, and in my opinion it's far overdue for me to learn.
