Im learning Japanese because I find Japanese culture to be the most fascinating. A lot of music, anime, movies Im into is Japanese..all of it is Japanese actually. Haha I am a beginner. Id like to learn every aspect of Japanese possible. Including Katakana, Hiragana, Kanji etc. I wanna dedicate as much time as possible to learn this language. I am learning Japanese through self study this year but I will need some help and practice with speaking and communicating . I will also need help with reviewing what I learned. I have taken two previous courses in Japanese through my high school. I am still at a beginner level in my opinion. I catch on to grammar easily and need most help with memorizing vocabulary and kanji as well as conversation practice. I am willing to dedicate a lot of my time to studying, but because of a busy schedule cannot meet with a tutor very often. A good amount would be for a few hours every two weeks.

I am writing on behalf of my children, ages 6 and 7. They have completed one and three years (respectively ) of Japanese immersion school at El Marino Language School in Culver City, California. We just moved to the Austin area and I wish to reinforce what they have learned so far: Hiragana, Katakana and basic Kanji. My goal is for them to feel confident in reading and writing and speaking Japanese and progress from there.
I hope to have my children be tutored together at least one hour weekly.
I ask that the teacher be comfortable with children and sensitive to their individual learning abilities.
