I am a beginner. I would like to learn Japanese because my husband's family is Japanese and I would like our children to speak it. I would like our children to have some idea of their Japanese heritage.
Wi th busy work schedules, I think it would be best to start one day a week. Maybe Saturday. If their is a small classroom instead, I would also consider that.

I am a beginner in Japanese language and am a serious student who wants to eventually work in Japan as I really love the country and people.
I know hiragana and katakana fairly well as well as basic vocabulary so I am not a total beginner. ^^
It isn;t easy finding Japanese tutors or even friends in Calgary so I would be very grateful for any help in learning Japanese on a regular basis. I can of course help you learn English as well, and I am willing to pay whatever a tutor thinks is suitable.

I have started learning some japanese on my own through books and free online courses. Though there is only so much I can teach my self and would like someone to help me. I am familiar with basic japanese grammar but I would like to start from the beginning with a teacher. I want a teacher who's creative and patient. I am a fast learner, but sometimes I might have to slow my pace to fully grasp the lesson. I'm learning because I would like to move to japan for at least a year. I am working towards being a missionary there.
