I have been living in Bern for almost a year. Eventually I would like to learn Swiss German, but first I need a good base in High German. I have taken a few German courses but need more intensive practice especially in spoken conversation. A teacher who speaks Swiss German as well as High German would be ideal but not necessary. I have had enough boring, routine, doing exercises out of a book type of classes. I need a more creative, personal, conversationa l approach.

Hi. My French is intermediate and I spent some time learning French in Tours, France. I would like a native French speaker and professional tutor- meaning someone who KNOWS how to teach the language- help me improve my French. I would like to reach the point of fluency in speaking and I would like to be able to do research in French without any real problems. Please contact me if you fit the qualification s. I live in Zamaleq, Egypt and I would like to begin in March 2005.

Hello--
Aft er a wonderful trip to Germany in November, my husband & I are looking for a German and a French language instructor, preferably native speakers. (However, if we found one person who could teach us both we would consider that situation.) I have some very rusty high school French-- my husband has no foreign language learning experience. We are very eager to travel to Europe again, armed with language skills!! Our goals would be to be able to converse comfortably for travel purposes, and to read adequately.
