I am a beginner and I want to learn the language for fun. I prefer learning on the weekends but I can also stretch myself on a weekday. I think I can spend 5 hours a week. I should be able to read and speak at the minimum. I am quick learner generally and I assume the same is with learning a new language.

My daughter and I would like to learn Malayalam as my husband is a Malayalee. We are beginners. We would like to to be able to understand and speak Malayalam- i.e. focus on conversation skills. We are looking at once or twice a week classes. The teacher should be able to teach us these conversation skills.
