(Brazilian) Portuguese- Beginner; would like to learn because I have many friends from Brazil, and would like to work in Africa.
Ar abic, Moroccan- Beginner; am already studying Modern Standard Arabic, know the alphabet, and may be studying abroad in Morroco next year.
Urdu - Beginner; have studied a little with a neighbor, already know the alphabet, would like to learn because I have friends from India and Pakistan.
German- Beginner; plan on working in Europe (Switzerland) so need to learn German.
I am a student and work from 6-9 p.m. 3 nights a week, so I don't have a ton of time. But I would like to study perhaps on Saturdays/Sun days, and maybe a weeknight, depending on the teacher's schedule. Pretty flexible with times, perhaps an hour each lesson.
I need a teacher who knows how to teach a language, and is willing to work very hard during the hour or two we are together.

I AM A TECHNICALLY A BEGINNER IN THE PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE, BUT I DO TRAVEL TO BRASIL EVERY YEAR, I AM ALSO A CAPOEIRISTA, AND ALL THE SONGS ARE IN PORTUGUESE. I ALSO HAVE FRIENDS WHO LIVE IN RIO DE JANEIRO. I NEED IMPROVEMENT IN THE PROPER GRAMATICAL, AND SENTENCE STRUCTURE OF PORTUGUESE. I DO OK IN CONVERSATIONA L SETTINGS, AS LONG AS THE CONVERSATION ISN'T MOVING TOO FAST I CAN COMPREHEND THE MESSAGE. i am a complete beginner in the portuguese language. jao gilberto and sergio mendez & brazil '66 initialy began my love of the language as well as some films from brazil. the only problems i have as far as language is i am dyslexic to a certain degree but the more i read and write it tends to decrease. ive never made an attemot to learn a language and im not sure how it is done but i am willing to try. i believe that the drive of the student is just as important as the material he or she is learning. i tend to be a personable guy and ive never had trouble getting along with teachers, especially if the content contains a personal interest. its not that i am moving to brazil, but if i could ever learn a language it would be portuguese. the way each person speaks portuguese, to someone who know nothing about it, sounds like a different language with each person who speaks it and i find that facinating. anyway, i am a complete novice with the language and id like to be able to speak and write it eventually. im not too sure where the price range starts and begins but i am very interested in lessons.
