I am learning Finnish, as I moved to Finland from Australia and think it's important to know the language of the country you live. I hope to see study opportunities in the future.
My level, I would say is between beginner and intermediate. Have a good grasp on very basic level grammar.
I need to focus primarily on conversation. I find the grammar clear to understand and just need to practice more. I have very little opportunity to practice spoken language.
I am free for time. I will dedicated a large amount of time to learning Finnish.
As for qualities in my teacher... very easy going and patient. I prefer someone who is very particular about pronunciation and is willing to correct me. I don't want to be in the habit of speaking broken Finnish. Someone patient :)

I am a french foreign exchange student studying this semester in Aalto University.
My 19 years old sister is visiting me one week in April. She would like to take some english lessons to prepare an exam she has to take in May. She has been studying english since middle school but needs to improve her oral communication , ie being able to speak more fluently and correct her grammar mistakes. The work here is quite general, she needs to spend time with a good english speaker who gives her confidence to activate her english.
I think the best for her would be to take 1 or 2 hours of private lesson on a daily basis the whole week she stays in Helsinki (17 to 21 april).
