I am very interested in learning Chinese. I have learnt other languages with varying levels of success in my travels and at university, and now I have decided to take on something much harder. I've been studying on my own for about a year (with some help from my Chinese-speak ing workmates), and have done a beginner's course at a university.
I want to get past beginner's level, with lots of conversation and vocabulary, some grammar, and some help with characters, in a small class or one on one. I want to dedicate up to 6 or 8 hours per week to learning.

I would like to learn Mandarin Chinese. I am an English speaker and have lived in Taiwan for 2 years. I would like to learn speaking and writing and reading. I'm looking for a teacher with experience and who can offer me lessons regularly. Material should be provided by the teacher.

I have learnt Mandarin before in Taiwan at the Chinese Language Institute and lived there for approximately 1.5 years.
I would like to continue learning Mandarin for personal growth and interest.
I'm prepared to spend a fair amount of time taking lessons, as I know that to make progress one needs to practice.
My teacher should have the ability to teach speaking and reading and writing, althouth the speaking is what I'm interested in first. I would also like a teacher who has a minimum of 2 years experience as a teacher.
