I am a Punjabi-Ameri can wishing to become more proficient in my native tongue. Although I understand Punjabi, I find it difficult to respond correctly. I am learning for the sole purpose of bettering myself and my communication with my family.
I am looking for a teacher who is friendly, easy-going and has flexible hours. Of course proficiency in both English and Punjabi is a must. I would also like to improve my Hindi a bit as well.
I would like to dedicate a few hours per week to lessons.

Would like a Punjabi tutor to teach my 10 year old boys. I am of Punjabi origin and have a rudimentary grasp of the spoken language. I would like for them to learn as much as possible. I have grown up speaking Punjabi, and I can read and write it at a basic level. I am learning Punjabi for academic reasons, because I would like to study Punjabi literature. The areas I need to focus on are increasing my reading speed and improving my grammar. I want to study Punjabi full time - about 20 hours a week. I am a beginner in the need of a patient Punjabi tutor. I would like to learn conversationa l Punjabi.
I have always been interested in India’s culture its many religions and languages. I have been studying India for the past few years and have always had a desire to learn Punjabi. I now have an urgent need to learn the language because I am in a serious relationship with a Punjabi man in New York. We are planning to travel to India in the next year for me to meet his family and to travel through the country. Although his family speaks English as their second language, I would like to be able to also speak to them in Punjabi.
I am willing to have one private lesson per week and complete an hour of assigned homework per night.
