I am a beginner who plans on living an working in Macedonia starting in Feb. or March of 2008. I am a beginner to the Swahili language, however I am hoping to, over the next year or two, learn enough of the language to enable future career advancement as well as possibly applying for a Fulbright scholarship in a native Swahili speaking area. I would thus like to learn both culture and language, and am willing to work hard at mastering these important skills. I am flexible as to how many hours a week we can meet, however, as a recent college graduate, I have limited financial resources, and thus we need to strike a balance between optimal time, and what I can afford to pay. I want to teach my daughter to read the Holy Quran. She is 5 years old. I want to make sure that she pronounces the sounds properly so I'm looking for a native speaker of Arabic. If time and finances allow, we'll continue with learning to talk in classic Arabic and hifz of the holy Quran.

I would like to learn Amharic as I am married to an Ethiopian and will someday spend half of my year living in Ethiopia.
