I would like to learn to speak Hindi. I currently have an average understanding of Hindi (i.e., I can watch Hindi movies without needing subtitles), but my communication is at a 3rd grade level. I grew up speaking Punjabi, so that may help. Also, I have the typical 'ABCD' accent when i speak Hindi.....and I would like to be able to speak our native language fluently without feeling self conscious about my un-Indian accent.

My proficiency is nil. I have some basic CD disks. I was in Brazil this July, in Sao Paolo and Brasilia. I will be going to Brazil frequently in the future and speaking with various folks in Brazil and need to be fluent. I would like to dedicate two classes per week, for about two hours per period. I live on the northwest side of Chicago and am willing to travel within that general area within the city proper. I need a structured program that will eventually make me very proficient.
