Description |
i am a beginner in korean. went out with a korean woman for 4 years. in that time i learned to love everything korean. the women, food, culture, etc... in the future i would like to be with a korean woman again and would like to be able to converse in korean with her.
i can dedicate a several hours a week to learning.
right now my main problem is that i have spent too much time learning to speak in too familiar terms. i need to learn how to speak properly with strangers and not offend them with familiarity.
i also need to start to learn to read and write korean.

Description |
I don't have an important reason to learn Korean. I just desired to learn a new language and thought I'd learn korean because I'm most interested in it. I want to be able to communicate in a language other than english and vietnamese because I speak it fluently enough. I'm not exactly sure on what I need to learn Korean but I'd want to be commited to this and learn korean. I really don't know how long I would like to try to learn Korean but I think I will at least want to take lessons or something for about 6 months-1 year or more. Most likely, since learning a new language that I have no idea about will be difficult so I think I will go on for over a year? I'm definitely a beginner. I would like to learn Korean from the very start. I really, truely want to learn Korean. I am willing to pay for classes or lessons of course but please reply to me once you receive this. Thank you for your time. A note to you is that I'm still only 12 so all of this information will be going to my parents.
I f it is better, I'd rather have live lessons and if it is not too hard, I would like to have a teacher that lives in the Bay Area. I live in San Jose but I don't think my parents would mind driving me anywhere inside the Bay Area of Santa Clara which is in the state of California.

Description |
I have not had formal Korean teaching before. I would classify myself as begginer. I am learning the language to speak with my girlfriends parents. I am flying to Korea in January to meet them for the first time. Conversation would be the area I need most improvement. I am willing as much time as I need to, in order to improve. I am looking for a teacher that has Korean as their native tongue.

Description |
I am looking for anyone in the Dallas area who is willing to give one or two evening lessons every week starting in January 2005 or thereafter. I am a 24 year old mixed-race Korean American who is hoping to communicate more comfortably and proficiently in the native language of my family members. I would like to find an instructor who will focus on conversation (speaking only or mostly Korean during classes). I also need to increase my vocabulary and understanding of Korean grammar. I am already proficient in Hangul, and I know the basics of Korean grammar (including simple present, simple past, and present participle). I am willing to dedicate up to five hours per week to class instruction. Depending on availability of the instructor, I am willing to pay around $150 per 'semester' (typically 4 months of instruction). This is flexible, however. I am, of course, willing to pay more for dedicated, high-quality instruction.
