I am interested in learning standard Arabic, speaking and writing. I have no experience with learning another language. I am interested in learning to help with my work, I am a medical professional and a significant portion of my patients are arabic speakers. I am willing to dedicate up to 3 nights a week to lessons. As far as what I am looking for in a teacher, I am looking for a person who is capable of teaching and responsive to questions. More importantly I need someone who is able to break things down to a simple level. I have a hard time grasping new knowledge if I do not understand it or am not able to apply it in a practical sense.

I am just starting so I don't know if you want to deal with me but I would like to learn Arabic for career reasons. I am willing to dedicate 6 hours a week to the language or more. I would like someone who can teach me slang and the basics to send me on the way to be fluent. I would to have conversations with this person as well. Please help.

I am taking Arabic 101 in college right now and want to do well in the class. My ultimate goal is to become fluent in the language and need all the help I can get. I am learning the language to help me get in the career I want to be in. I need help in all areas espically in conversation and grammar. I am hoping that I could meet with a tutor one or two times a week. I live in North county but would be willing to drive anywhere in San Diego to meet for lessons. My roomate would also be joining me for the lessons. She is also taking arabic.
