I have studied hindi for a little less than a year and would like to continue to learn more. However I feel I am still very much a real beginner.
When I have learnt a language before I have found the best for me is to have a one hour lesson, private tuition each week with a little set homework to complete. Although I don't drive I can usually use public transport to get to a tutor's address.
My main reason for learning hindi is a keen interest in India and a lifelong enjoyment of languages generally. I don't have plans to travel to India but hope I can communicate with the wider Indian diaspora and especially those who live in Brisbane.
I would prefer a female teacher, living in the northern suburbs of Brisbane and preferably near a bus or train network. As I work 4 days a week, an evening would be best, although monday afternoons may also be possible. It would be good to have some fun as I learn since I enjoy the interaction involved with learning another language and culture.

I am finishing up a degree in Journalism and have been studying Hindi for the past year in an effort to improve my chances of becoming a foreign correspondent .
I have completed Hindi 1 at Latrobe University in Melbourne and am currently completing Hindi 1B with the same institution.
My writing of Hindi is quite good but I need help with sentence constructions and conversations .
I will be in Dehradun this December (2010) so I am looking for a tutor who can commit to a week of one-on-one sessions with me.

I am looking at a beginners course. I am looking at spending 4 months in India & I would like to speak the basics & have a conversation. I spent a couple of months there previously & I felt that it is very important to learn the language if going back so that I can communicate properly & to show respect.

I have an enormous affection for india and its people and I wish to seek employment there some time into the fiture. To give my all I wish to learn one of its most popular languages. I would prefer to take lessons once or twice a week. I work full time so a teacher that was available outside the normal work hours would be a plus.
