I am looking to learn Spanish for my mandatory second language for graduate school. I am familiar to Spanish but will still only categorize myself as a beginner. I need definite improvement in all aspects of the language.
I am looking to put in at least 10hrs a week to learning the language and I need a teacher who is able to move and adapt to my learning pace.

I started learning Japanese about 6 months ago on my own. I started with flashcards and have moved up to reference books and one free online lesson (unfortunatel y I'd have to pay for the other 48). I'm working on my characters and memorizing them and I'm working on vocab. I got into the Japanese culture because when I was about 5 or 6 a teacher from the northeast coast of Japan came and stayed with us. I really got to know her and she was a great person and I was so amazed by everything she brought that I knew that one day I had to go visit her, so that's kinda why I want to study the language, I want to show her how much I've learned since I met her and want to make her proud. I think the Japanese culture is amazing and Japanese is unlike any other language I've learned. I'm really dedicated to learning the language. Please help me. Arrigato gozaimasu.

My thirteen year old daughter has become very interested in learning Mandarin. She is a beginner. We would consider one or possibly two lessons per week either in our home or within a short drive. Lessons would need to be in the evening or on weekends. A teacher comfortable with and encouraging to a studious 13 year old girl would be most appropriate.

I am a college sophomore attending Barnard College of Columbia University. I have taken one year (two semesters) of beginning Russian language at Columbia with a native Russian speaker. While I am home for the summer in Denver I would like to advance my conversationa l and grammatical skills. I am a political science major with an especial interest in Russian politics, history, and culture; I hope to advance my proficiency before I return to take second-year Russian in the fall.
