We live in cuyutlan for six month sof the year and would like to be more proficient in hearing and speaking spanish. we took a one month immersion program in guadalajara four years ago, but need more. we would like full tiem 4-5 hours per day for 4-6 weeks. speaking in conversation is very important as is understanding what is spoken.

Although I do have a small background in the language , I prefer to start from the beginning..My goal is to reach to a level that allows me to be able to hold a decent and interesting conversation with a native spanish speaker. I want to learn both Spanish and French. I am thinking of my future, that is, beyond my current job and believe I can work towards translation and intepretation , either of documents or conversation. This is my goal.
I did take Spanish lessons back in 1994 and have not really used it much, though I can understand meaning of certain words, when spoken slowly. Therefore making my level as beginner.
I did study French in Primary School, first two years in Secondary School and took it up again in 1995. Again, this has gone rusty due to lack of practice even though, just like Spanish I can understand meaning of certain words, when spoken slowly. So, my level is beginner.
Areas of improvement would be both grammar and conversation, leading to perfected translation/i nterpretation, etc.
In terms of time. I would have to discuss this with my teacher to find something comfortable for both of us.
A goal-oriented teacher who will push me (in a nice way) to succeed in this journey in the shortest time possible.
