I am a recent university graduate looking to learn both written and conversationa l arabic for personal and work related interest. I would be interested in meeting twice a week in a medium sized class in the Philadelphia area, preferably in the evenings due to work obligations. I have a lot of Arabic friends. I have picked up a couple very simple words here and there from hearing them talk. I have a little book that helps me with phrases. I want to learn so that I can speak to them and understand them. I would like to focus more on conversationa l than the grammatical but I understand you need both to learn the language. I have a full-time job but I have time towards the evenings. I have two of the 7 days off at random. I would like to get as much practice as possible or how much my schedule will allow. I want the teacher to be able to teach me more than what I can learn on my own by reading books. I want to learn to hear, listen, and speak Arabic, not so much write.

I am a beginner in Arabic. I have taken the 101 level in college and learned all of the script, although I have not practiced in a while. 102 is not available during the Fall semester of college, so I would like to learn as much as I can over the summer, in order to possibly take the 201 class.
I would like to become more proficient in Arabic in order to enrich myself and I am considering a job with the government, so a foreign language is a must.
