I am looking for an experienced teacher, to teach me and my children (age 5, 7) farsi. My husband is Iranian and fluent in farsi. I'd like to learn and we'd like to teach the kids. We are most interested in speaking vs. writing at this stage. We are considering weekly lessons 1-1.5 hrs. I am half persian and half english living in Sydney. I have very basic knowledge of farsi and am looking to become fluent in spoken farsi over time. I would like to be able to hold a conversation with my persian friends and get very frustrated when I can only pick up one or two words at present. I am hoping to impress them all with my new found ability to speak with them in persian!! I am free most evenings as I hold a current day job so would be willing to dedicate between 2 and 3 hours a week of evening classes if possible.
I am looking for a teacher who will be patient with me and ensure my understanding before moving on to another topic. But a teacher who will also be firm with me and keep me motivated and eager to learn more!
