Hello. I've had a life-long fascination with the Serbo-Croatia n language. Living in Chicago, I've had the pleasure of hearing it spoken quite frequently, and, in my opinion, it is quite simply the most beautiful language currenty in existence. I would like to learn how to speak and read Serbo-Croatia n frequently, so that I can converse with Serbian friends and read my favorite books in their native language. Hello! I am an American woman who two and a half years ago married the love of my life who happens to be Bulgarian. While his English is perfect, my Bulgarian, needless to say, is non existent! :) I purchased a book and tape to teach myself Colloqial Bulgarian, but have quickly realized that I need a teacher to help me stick to my lessons. I would love to be able to hold a pretty thorough conversation in Bulgarian so that I can speak to my inlaws and all of our Bulgarian friends. I hate that they always have to speak English when I am around. My husband would teach me, but with both of our careers it takes more patience and time then we have to spare. I would prefer to take lessons in person and would love to meet once or twice a week. I know that it is going to take some time and that I am just a beginner, but I will have the opportunity to practice ALL of the time and I have already taught myself the alphabet and to read the language, I just need to understand what I am reading and be able to carry on conversations with native Bulgarians without being laughed at. :)
