We (my husband and I) have begun to learn Greek as we intend to spend approximately 3-4 months in Greece. We want to learn both conversation and written Greek. We have not got further than the alphabet and basic introductions .
We are looking for 1.5 hours-2.0 a week when we are in the UK. We are both teachers so we do expect a certain level of teaching preparation/c reativity!

I am half Greek and I would like to have a taste into my herritage by trying to learn my mothers native language.
I would like to have a more in depth sense of my culture, a lot of the United States goverment is derived from the ancient Greek times, and I would love to put that I know three languages on my Oregon State resume.
As much time as getting a small concept of the language will take I am willing to give up. Evenings after 6 but for three to four hours a day if nessecary.
Qualities I think that are vital are to be well educated and prepared to help me with understanding the language.

To whom it may concern,
I am a 21 year old female who has a Greek father and a Croatian mother but born and raised in Sydney Australia. Since I was a little girl I have been interested to learn the Greek language to be able to converse with my grandmother overseas. I first met my grandmother in 2002 where I stayed with her and my father on the Island, the duration of my time there was 3 months, I found that my understanding of the language came quicker the being able to speak it. I plan to revisit the beautiful country and Island next year in August and would love to be able to converse fluently and to be able to listen to all the wonderful stories my grandmother has to offer. I also want to surprise my father as I know it would bring tears to his eyes to be able hear me speak his language. I love the language, history and culture. I am proud of my heritage. My proficiency level would have to be beginner, improvement would have to be in all arears, as I work Monday through to Friday and my hours being 08.30 to 17.00 I am looking for lessons after 17.00 weekdays and anytime on weekends for as long as it takes to master the language.
