I can speak Russian at the level of a nine-year-old , basically. That's when I stopped going to a Russian school, and moved to Canada. I don't want to forget my native language, and would like to improve it. I need to improve my grammar in Russian, as well as conversation, and vocabulary.
I also want to learn Latvian. I was born in Latvia, and lived there until I moved to Canada, and I used to speak it fairly well. But once I moved here, I forgot it entirely. I can still read it, but can't understand anything. I want to learn Latvian, so that when I finally get to go back to visit, I can feel at home, and not like a tourist.
I want to learn the languages online, and I have free time from Tuesday to Thursday, after five thirty, until six thirdy, sometimes seven.
I would love it if the teacher had a sense of humour, and explained the lesson well.

I have no prior experience in speaking Latvian, but I as I am engaged to a Latvian woman, I would like to have the facility to speak with her and her family in their native tongue. I have no knowledge of the language. I would like to focus on basic conversation, idioms, phonetics, and grammar. I would be willing to dedicate 3 to 5 hours a week for my language lessons.
