I am traveling to South Korea the first week of August with two non-Korean speaking friends.
I am Korean-Americ an and can understand pretty well, but am not confident speaking or reading and writing. I can do a little of both. I am in desperate need of someone who I can practice conversations with that I know I'm going to be having in Korea.

My situation is a bit unique because I learned some Italian as an infant. My parents were born in the south of Italy, and spoke it at home at the time of my birth. Because of this, I did learn a number of 'bad habits' and certain dialect influences took root.
At this point, I want to devote the next twelve to eighteen months to leanring to read and write, and erasing old habits. My goal is to be able to pick up any Italian newspaper and understand the stories. Another goal is to live and work in Italy, so my language skill need vast improvement. I am able to devote apprximately four to six hours of study time (exclusive of tutoring) to learning. I am serious about my goals, and 'shopping' for the appropriate teacher who will be professional, determined, and creative. I live in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago, and practicality of location is important, as well as a fair and reasonable price.
