Dear Tutor,
I would be pleased to take language lessons in order to learn Hindi. I am born and raised in the UK, but both of my parents are Indian. We have recently purchased an apartment in Palam Vihar (Haryana), near the state border of New Delhi, as i wish to spend more time in india. As a result of this, I would like to learn the Hindi language in order to communicate with my new found family. I do understand a bit of hindi and speak a few words only. I cannot construct sentances and am in no way proficient. I would like to learn conversationa l Hindi only. The grammar aspect of the language is secondary to my needs and may be undertaken at a later visit next year. I will be in India from the 23rd October until the end of November and am looking for a strong tutor to get me speakiing Hindi as fast as possible. I would be happy to do a couple of hours each day at my apaprtment in Palam Vihar. If you respond, please advise me how long you feel it would take for you to teach me hindi up to a standard where I can converse confidently, the hours involved and approximate charges. I am very serious about this am looking for a dedicated teacher who can devote the time to my needs. Many thanks in advance for your response.
