I have been studying Spanish for about a year now at Quad C but their continuing Ed classes are quite unreliable. I am looking to continue my studies in Spanish. I spent about 3 weeks in Cuernavaca, Mexico this past summer and spent a week in Monterrey over the Christmas break. Fortunately, I have several Latino friends who allow me to practice my Spanish with them. I plan to return to Mexico, either Guadalajara or Monterrey, this summer for the entire summer break. I would like to work in Mexico and I will need to be able to speak better. Even though I am not in a formal class, I have continued studying my Spanish book and the 501 verb book. I am eager to learn to speak better.
I currently teach in Plano. I also volunteer teach ESL in McKinney. Can you give me some information about your classes/tutor ing? I live in Allen.

I am a beginner in Spanish with a desire to learn the language for both personal and professional reasons. I have conversationa l spanish, from 1.5 yrs in Latin America five years ago. I learned 'on the street' with no classes so I (a) want to improve my grammar/vocab ulary, and (b) refresh since I am out of practice! My immediate objective is to work on my spanish intensely over the month of February 2006 as I will be in Mexico for work in March.
I am looking for an instructor who will work with me primarily through conversation, and help me design my 'study plan' between our lessons. Our goal will be to help me become versent, particularly in my line of work -- water and international development.
