I studied arabic in middle school, but mostly I studied Quran. I can read and write proficiently, and I also studied a year of arabic in college. Although I do have a basic knowledge of grammer and sentence structure I do not feel that my ability to form sentences verbally is as good as it could be. I know this comes from not using the language often. I am interested in increasing my vocabulary, and having as much conversation as possible. I need repitition so that I get used to thinking in Arabic. My reasons for learning Arabic are more personal. My mother is muslim and I just love the language. I hope to dedicate at least two or three hours a week with a tutor I also study independantly . I intend on taking classes again but I will not be able to take them until summer and I do not want to forget until then.
I am interested in a teacher that is patient and will take the time to go over things until I feel comfortable. I also want to be as efficient as possible with the time.

I am a beginner but know few words a phrases, i want to learn arabic because i am getting married in a few years to a lebanese man and would like to be able to speak and understand as much arabic as possible to make it easier on me. Planning on moving to lebanon and having kids in the future and dont want to have any language barriers.
I want to dedicate myself to this for the next few years to get it out of the way. i would really like to learn from someone who is lebanese or is familier with the arabic spoken there. i can take classes anywhere from fort lauderdale to miami monday-saturd ay., This is something very important to me and would greatly appreciate your help.

I am looking for a teacher of Modern Standard Arabic to help me prepare for the Leaving Certificate exam in June 2006.
I would mainly be interested in reading aloud the two set novels ('The Days' by Taha Hussein and 'The Wedding of Zein' by Tayeb Salih)whilst having my pronunciation corrected (my reading of unvowelled texts is poor), grammar points explained and the text translated as we go along. I would be studying quite a bit outside of class and would then use the teacher to explain anything I had come across during the week that I didn't understand.
I am looking for a teacher who is able to speak to me in Modern Standard Arabic rather than a dialect and whose English is good enough to explain grammar points and is enthusiastic during lessons and expects me to work hard. I would be interested in two hours per week of lessons dependant on price.
