I'm excited to begin learning Japanese as a new language because I have a deep appreciation for Japan's rich culture, fascinating history, and unique traditions. From its ancient temples and samurai heritage to its modern innovations in technology and pop culture, Japan has always captivated me.
I believe learning the language will allow me to connect more deeply with its people, while understanding its literature and fully immerse myself in its cultural experiences.
I'm committed to dedicating 1 to 2 hours daily for lessons, as I understand that consistency and practice are key to reach a high level of language proficiency.
I'm looking for structured yet fluidly engaging lessons, with a strong foundational balance of grammar, vocabulary, listening and speaking practice.
The suitable teacher would be someone who can be patient yet assertive, demanding yet encouraging, and knowledgeable yet passionate about the art of teaching that provides real results, while incorporating all the necessary cultural and historical insights in its lessons. And if you can make it fun and interactive, that would be awesome.

1. Why I Am Learning Farsi:
I am learning Farsi because I am half Iranian and married to an Iranian woman. I have visited Iran three times and want to communicate better with my in-laws and navigate daily life when visiting. I also want to show my wife that I am committed to understanding and communicating in her own language.
2. Current Proficiency Level:
I am a beginner. I understand certain words and can sometimes pick up the general meaning of conversations , but my speaking and comprehension are still limited.
3 . Areas for Improvement:
• Pronunciat ion: I struggle with pronouncing words correctly and need coaching on this.
• Spe aking & Listening: I want to build conversationa l skills to feel confident when interacting with family and locals.
4. Time Commitment:
I am happy to dedicate at least 2-3 lessons per week as a minimum.
5 . Qualities I Am Looking For in a Teacher:
I am looking for a patient and effective teacher who can explain pronunciation clearly and help me build natural conversationa l skills. I am committed to learning and need practical, real-life language coaching to develop the right speech patterns and understanding .
