I recently visited China and fell in love with the language (Mandarin). I learned the extreme basics while I was there and have continued learning very slowly with an app but I'd still consider myself a new learner/begin ner. I would really like to learn to speak and understand the language with some basic reading (I've found that I'm better at reading than remembering the pronunciation s). I would like to dedicate about five hours per week to learning and I am looking for a teacher who is a native Mandarin speaker and who also speaks English.

Hi,
I would like to start learning Mandarin as I am increasingly doing more business in Singapore and China, and my clients (generally at the Senior Management / Director level) would receive me, an Caucasian Australian, in a better light if I were able to converse in conversationa l Mandarin / Cantonese (but one at a time!).
I am a complete beginner and would like to put in a large amount of time, but I am very busy with my work schedule. However, I am able to commit to 2 lessons (1.5 hours per lesson) per week.

I am looking forward to learn Chinese to develop my career as well as my socializing with Chinese friends.
I am starting in the beginner level.
The areas I would like to focus on is grammar and conversation and fairly acceptable in writing.
I am looking for a two hours lesson per day, and lessons will be taken for at least 3 days a week.
My expectation from the teacher is simply, having a good standard of pronunciation , experienced in teaching, fun to learn with by conducting a lot of communicating during class with natural conversation like a native. Therefore, I would think a teacher from China, mainland would be the best choice.
