1) My husband and I want to learn Nepali because we are doing some volunteer work with Nepali people. We are also planning on going to Nepal next year.
2) We are beginners, we have started learning some concepts from the 'Teach Yourself' language instruction book.
3)We don't know much, so probably grammar, pronunciation and conversation.
4) We have a busy schedule so an hour every second week.
5) A patient teacher who loves Nepali !!!

I know a little bit of Nepali already, but still very basic. I would like to learn Nepali so I can live there for some time and continue with the non-profit work I am doing. I need improvement everywhere. I would like to dedicate a few hours a week to Nepali lessons. I am looking for someone who is going to be helpful, but patient when I am having difficulties. I need someone who encourages self-directed learning, not someone who will spoon-feed answers.

3 people would like to learn basic Nepali as they are travelling to Nepal (Annapurna area) in October 07. Would like to dedicate 2 hours/day in September/07 to learning some words in Nepali. None have any previous knowledge of Nepali language. Also, one is a student (15 years), was wondering if he could get high school credit for this course as a language. Thanks
