I wish to learn Egyptian Arabic form a professional perspective to cnverse with my customers, and personally in order to read the Qur'an.
I consider myself a complete beginner apart from having a bsic grasp of greetings.
I need help in all areas, initially simple conversationa l Egyptian Arabic and a grounding in teh alphabet and reading simple Arabic.
I would like to consider both a full immersion (perhaps concentrated 2-3 days to get going) then perhaps weekly sessions.
Ideally, I would prefer to be taught by a professional mature(very patient!) native Egyptian practising Muslim.

i am beginner of this launage im trying to learn this laungage for my girlfriend whos from malawi and speaks chichewa i like to learn for sevral reason the main being i plan to take my girlfriend on holiday to malawi where i whish to propose marige in her native tounge also i like to learn for my self and i try have conversation with some of her friends who speak very little english hope someone can help me or advise me where i can learn this and relevent books cdroms etc i would dedication as much time as i can also i no its hard but to be able speak write understand the basics would help although my main goal will be to learn as much as possible thxs u paul.

i want to learn this language in order to enhance my ability to communicate with people of different regions as i have found that many people in the arab world can't speak English fluently. i also think that it can be of great benefit for me in my professionl life. most importantly ARABIC is one of the most Sweetest language spoken on this planet which we call earth. As i am currently studying Engineering from the University of Aberdeen, i will easily manage to spare evening and some afternoons when the university will be off. I can read and write arabic, don't exactly know if i able to understand most of the words in a sentence, i would leave this part for my teacher to decide whether i am a beginner or an intermediate student.
