I wish to learn Greek as I have just spent my Summer living in Rhodes and plan to return there regularly and maybe one day live there. I enjoy learning languages and think that Greek would be the most appropriate one to learn for the time being.
I only know very basic things, such as greetings, a few sentences and words, but I am definitely at a beginners level.
I have not yet learnt the Greek alphabet either, and this is something I am very keen to learn.
I am looking for a friendly, calm and patient teacher who is willing to spend time to help me improve my Greek.

Hi
I have just moved to Athens from Edinburgh, Scotland and I am really keen to learn the language well and fast. My partner is Greek and has a daughter who is young and does not speak English so learning to speak and communicate with her is vital for me. I would like my tutoring to be flexible but intense. I would preferably like to have 3 sessions per week, as well as schooling and any other help I can get. I am a total beginner and have only been in Greece 2 weeks.

My name is Steve and I wish to learn Greek; I have lived on Crete for three years although I am now back in the UK. One day I will return to live in Greece and would like to be more proficient and confident.
I did have lessons for a few months but I am only really at phrasebook level.
As with most people learning languages it's the problems understanding Greek spoken to me that I have problems with. I may actually know the words they are saying to me but can't quite pick them out!
I would like one hour a week, on a Monday, and also some homework given too and recommendatio ns of text books that we could perhaps work with together.
I would prefer my teacher to actually be Greek and either male or a mature male or female.
