I have decided to learn a foreign language because i think it would help me a lot when i am older. I like travelling so i would love to travel to China and spend time there. I am only a beginner and would need help in most areas. I would like to be able to speak Chinese but i am not so worried about writing. I would like to have one lesson per week if that is okay. I am a beginner, I currently have a Mandarin tutor but would I do have an interest in also learning Japanese, Korean, my native Gaelic, and Italian. I guess I've always been a person that wanted to be multi-lingual . There is nothing more rewarding than being able to have a conversation with someone in THEIR native language as opposed to hoping they know English or understanding your signings.
I'm hoping to do a lot of traveling to the east as well as go back to Italy as I loved it when I went there on holiday. The reason I'd like to learn Gaelic is that I feel its a real shame that Scotland's truly native language is dying out, so in some way, I'd like to keep it as a part of my heritage. I am a complete novice but when I'm passionate about something I put a lot of work into it and usually progress well.
I will dedicate any spare time I have to my lessons and find that since I'm a very big film buff, I watch a lot of chinese, japanese and korean movies and try to listen for phrases that are being learnt. All I want in a teacher is someone who is willing to be patient but also someone who is willing to push me (I do love a challenge!), but more than anything someone who can help me be as fluent as possible.

I am looking for a translator in August for 1 week. Is this something you would cater for? It's for a group of 10 gents who would require assistance for the full week while on a golf tour for 6 days then 1 day tour of Braveheart land. This would be with a tour guide but needs to be translated.
