Within the coming months I want to learn to speak Arabic (the Levant Dialect) to the level of being able to have a conversation. I hope to be working in the field of international politics in the future, and I feel that being able to speak Arabic will help me substantially . Not only on a personal level, but more importantly it will be possible for me to consolidate in issues between people from the Arab and the Western world. Building bridges.
T he past three months I've lived in Cairo, so I have some knowledge of the language. The alphabet, numbers, some grammar, and some vocabulary.
Depending on the costs I would like to spent eight weeks, five days a week, three hours a day, from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm.
My main focus is on conversation. Nevertheless I believe for understanding the language reading and writing skills are essential, implying I would like to study this too. Also, through reading it's possible to train yourself in a foreign language when there is no one to speak with.

I am in the middle of my 1st year of my arabic degree at SOAS university in london. I spend more time on reading and writing arabic but need to gain more experience with conversationa l arabic for my exams in May. Therefore i need to improve on some aspects of grammar and learn basic conversationa l arabic. i would like to spend 4hours each day on my arabic - some of the time individually and perhaps some in a small group. i would come for approximately 10 days from around 10th april 2009. I would like a teacher who is flexible to my accademic needs.
