My company has asked if I would like to live and work (with my family) in Japan for three months to one year. My wife and I would like to learn a little Japanese before we go. I'd like to be able to say polite phrases and read simple katakana and/or hiragana.
We need lessons at our house in Saint Paul, evenings or weekends. Our five year old could also learn a few phrases, but he isn't patient enough to sit through an hour-long lesson.

I am a total beginner in Japanese. I want to learn Japanese because I want to be a forgin exchange student in high school, japan is very interesting to me, if i don't live there ever in my life i would at least like to visit.
