I am learning Chinese (Mandarin) and Arabic (Egyptian/Mod ern Standard) because I want to communicate effectively to those who do not speak english. I would also like to conduct business in the aforementione d native languages. My level of proficiency for both would be at beginners level so I will need improvement in all areas. I will dedicate as much time as needed so that I can be proficient this time next year, so I am looking for a well articulated teacher who is motivating, encouraging, and efficient.

I'm in the Air Force, and I just spent a year in Afghanistan. Prior to going there, I took Dari lessons and continued to work on speaking, reading, and writing Dari while I was there. I would like to continue my Dari studies now that I'm back and based in Dayton, Ohio. I would prefer to do this in one-on-one sessions if possible. I would like to spend at least three hours a week working on Dari. I especially want to work on conversation.
