I want to learn Portuguese in order to advance my college application and carrear options. I am fluent in Spanish so that might help a little in learning Portuguese, other than that a total beginner. I would mainly like to learn how to speak the language. I can dedicate one or two hours evey day and several hours on the weekend. Hello my name is Ashley and I have always wanted to learn Tagalog. I am Filipino, and feel I should learn learn the language so that I can teach my kids when I get older. I don't want the Filipino culture to die with me. I am a beginner, I only understand a handful of words and can read Tagalog fairly well, but cannot understand half what I read. I am will to put forth daily effort toward learning the language, as I live with my other who is fluent in Tagalog and Bisaya. I'm looking for a teacher who is patient and willing to help, and I prefer to learn in a class/group setting if possible. I also have a cousin who is interested in learning too.
